5 Things To Do Wednesday

Get information on a new composting program and how it could affect you at the Larkspur City Council meeting.

MEETINGS
• The Larkspur City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 400 Magnolia Ave. Among the agenda items is a request for a rate increase from the Marin Sanitary Service, part of which would help establish a food waste collection program for composting.

• The Marin Municipal Water District will host a community workshop on water rates and finances at 6:30 pm. at its Corte Madera offices, 220 Nellen Ave.

ART
• The Lark Theater broadcasts "Nixon in China" this weekend as part of its Live at the Met series. Saturday's production is a live broadcast at 10 a.m. shown at the classic theater. An encore broadcast will be offered Sunday at 11 a.m.

FOOD
• Check out the Farmers Market at the Town Center in Corte Madera. Fine food is on display from noon to 5 p.m. every Wdnesday.

• The Corte Madera Library is hosting a chance to taste Ethiopian cooking, with Oakland chef Selome Haileleoul. The event, 7-8:30 p.m., is free to the public.
