ABAG Still Looms Large

Around Town March 20-21: Board of Supervisors will take a look at ABAG's numbers during Tuesday morning's meeting.

Can't get enough politics? There will be plenty of meetings this week, with the Marin County Board of Supervisors, Corte Madera Town Council and Larkspur City Council.

Can't stand politics? There's something for you too. Believe it or not, the Spring sports season has started on high school campuses. There are back-to-back historical documentaries at the Lark Theater this week. Plus, there's a special feature at the Corte Madera Library, "The Cult of Beauty," on Wednesday.

• Interested folks might want to head over to the Marin County Civic Center on Tuesday, March 20, for the Board of Supervisors meeting at 10 a.m. Here's a teaser: ABAG is back on the agenda.

• Marin Catholic is scheduled to host Terra Linda on the baseball diamond at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20. Meanwhile, the Wildcats will host the Trojans in a men's lacrosse showdown at 5:30 p.m.

• The Lark Theater presents an encore showing of Leonardo Live, a preview of the UK's National Gallery landmark exhibition “Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan.” The broadcast begins at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, with filmmaker Phil Grabsky in person.

• Grabsky will be back at the Lark on Wednesday, March 21, to present his documentary "In Search of Haydn," the final entry in his trilogy of films about the great composers. Grabsky’s biographical account of the life of Haydn includes breath-taking performances  by some of the world’s most celebrated and contemporary musicians.

• Check out the fresh foods at the Corte Madera farmers market at the Town Center every Wednesday, from noon to 5 p.m.
