Twin Cities Police Arrest Prowler

Twin Cities Police Log Nov. 23-29: Stories of jealousy, revenge and relationships gone horribly wrong make for harrowing adventures.

• Pursuant to being contacted by a Twin Cities Police Officer at the rear of a business in the 10 block of Koch Road, a San Rafael man was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Spring Assisted Knife and Prowling. He was booked into the Marin County Jail.

• A San Pablo resident reported a threatening text message was sent to him when he was in San Pablo on Saturday. He does not know who sent the text and it was received on his girlfriend's cell phone. He reported his vehicle is parked at the Greenbrae Chevron, and the tire is now missing. He believes the subject that sent him the threatening text message has something to do with his missing tire. Contact was made with the subject and it was determined there had been numerous threatening messages and the text messages may be coming from his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, who lives in Richmond. It was also determined that the lug nuts were taken out causing the tire to fall off of the truck. A report was taken and there is follow-up pending.

• A resident of the 20 block of Blue Rock Court reported she had loaned her vehicle to her ex-boyfriend for a few days and he now is refusing to return it. She reported he told her the vehicle is parked somewhere in Petaluma, but he is refusing to tell her where. Attempts were made to contact the subject with negative results. An auto theft report was taken and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

• A resident of the 300 block of Willow Avenue reported one of his motorcycle plates is missing. He felt that it possibly fell off on his way to work. A lost or stolen plate report was taken and the plate number was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

• The Bank of America in the Bon Air Shopping Center reported a suspicious subject was in the bank attempting to make a fraudulent transaction. Prior to the officers' arrival they called and advised the subject had left the building and was out in front of the bank. When the officers arrived, the subject fled. After a short foot pursuit, officers contacted an El Sobrante man and determined there was no merit to any fraudulent activity. He was arrested for Resisting an Officer and released on a citation at the scene.

• TCPD Officers responded to a residence in the 40 block of Tamal Vista Boulevard to attempt warrant service on a San Rafael man, who was believed to be there, for three No Bail Warrants held by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. The subject was located, arrested, and booked into the Marin County Jail.

• While on patrol in the Village Shopping Center a TCPD Officer was contacted by a Richmond resident who reported a theft from his vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry; the vehicle was possibly left unlocked. Taken were clothing valued at approximately $500.

• Pursuant to a traffic stop in the area of Tamalpais Drive and US Highway 101, a Nevada man was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was booked into the Marin County Jail.

• A resident in the 10 block of Seamast Passage reported a juvenile neighbor had shot at him with a BB gun and missed hitting his body, but left a mark on his truck. A report was taken and there is follow-up pending.

• A Kentfield resident reported that her purse was stolen from her locked trunk while parked in the lot at the Cost Plus Center. The purse contained her wallet, driver’s license, checkbook, credit cards, and $40 cash.

• A resident in the 500 block of Riviera Circle reported a window was smashed on her son's vehicle which is parked in front of their house. The vehicle was checked and there were no signs of any entry made to the vehicle, it appears to be vandalism only.

• A resident of the 60 block of Frances Avenue reported the windshield was smashed on his car while it was parked in the area of his residence. He advised it doesn't look like entry was gained and nothing is missing.

• A resident of San Francisco reported that while she was at work in the 700 Building in Larkspur Landing, she had received a call from an unknown number, on her cell phone, advising her Bank of America credit card had been suspended and for her to re-activate it, she needed to enter her Social Security Number and her PIN number. She said felt it was a scam and hung-up, after which she contacted Bank of America who confirmed it was a scam. There was no loss and Documentation of incident was provided.

• A resident of the 800 block of Via Casitas reported his silver and blue Trek 4300, 24 speed mountain bike, valued at $350, was stolen.

• A Loss Prevention Agent for Nordstrom, located in the Village Shopping Center, reported a new account had been opened under another person's name. To date, the loss is $1,843. The victim is a resident of San Diego. A report was taken and there is possible follow-up pending.

During this one week time period, Twin Cities Police had 294 calls for service. This included one hit and run accident and four property damage only accidents. There were two calls related to Driving while Intoxicated, resulting in one arrest.
