Woman Arrested For Being Drunk In A Church

Twin Cities Police Log Jan. 11-17: Police called to Marin Suites for a domestic disturbance; MMWD reports the theft of brass fittings.

 

• A report was received from the Larkspur Fire Department of a female subject who was refusing to leave Saint Patrick’s Church and it was unclear whether she was under the influence of alcohol or having a medical incident. Twin Cities Police Officers responded with the Fire Department and contacted a San Rafael woman who was arrested for being Intoxicated in a Public Place and Violation of Probation and booked into the Marin County Jail.

• The desk clerk for the Marin Suites, located at 45 Tamal Vista Blvd., reported he received a report about a man yelling outside of a room. When he went to the room, furniture was moved and knocked over. He made contact with a male subject but could hear a female crying somewhere in the room. Officers made contact with a homeless male subject and a San Rafael woman. The male subject was arrested for Violation of a Court Order, Violation of Probation, Resisting Arrest and Assault on a Peace Officer. He was booked at the Marin County Jail after being medically cleared at the Marin General Hospital Emergency Room.

• A representative of the Marin Municipal Water District reported the theft of brass meters and fittings from their engineering yard. A Commercial Burglary report was taken for documentation.

• A Novato resident reported he is an employee at the Cheesecake Factory restaurant, located in the Village Shopping Center, and that he had parked his vehicle in the lot prior to work. When he returned, his vehicle was missing. An Auto Theft report was taken and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

• A San Anselmo resident reported he had stayed the night at his girlfriend’s residence in the 150 block of Morningside Drive and had parked his vehicle out front with the windows down. When he returned to the vehicle, he found that someone had stolen a connector cable and prescription medication from the vehicle.

• Loss Prevention Agents for Nordstrom, located in the Village Shopping Center reported they have a female subject in custody for the theft of $330 worth of merchandise. A Vallejo woman was arrested for Shoplifting and released on a citation at the scene.

• A report was received from the Sausalito Police Department regarding an Identity Theft with the victim living in their jurisdiction. The victim’s credit cards were used at Macy’s, located in the Village Shopping Center. There is possible further investigation pending.

• TCPA Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 10 block of Skylark Drive. Upon arrival, it was determined that there had been a Domestic Battery. A Larkspur man was arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail.

• A resident in the 30 block of College Court reported her blue Cannondale Scalpel 3000 21 speed mountain bicycle, valued at $4,500, was taken from her open garage.

• A resident of the 170 block of Golden Hind Passage reported all four wheels were stolen off of his vehicle. The estimated loss is $1,000. A Grand Theft report was taken for documentation.

• Pursuant to being located at her residence in the 20 block of Harbor Drive, a Corte Madera woman was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor traffic warrant. She was booked into the Marin County Jail.

• A Larkspur resident reported that while his vehicle was parked in the area of Council Crest and Madera Boulevard, a microwave oven and a “trim kit” were taken from the back of his pick-up truck. The loss is approximately $630.

• A San Francisco resident reported his computer was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the lot in the Bon Air Shopping Center. He advised that the doors may possibly have been left unlocked. Loss is approximately $1,000.

• A resident of the 30 block of Loma Vista reported she is the victim of Identity Theft. A report was taken and there is follow-up pending.

• A San Anselmo resident reported a theft from his vehicle while it was parked in the Village Shopping Center near Macy’s. Taken were four pairs of prescription sunglasses and other miscellaneous items with a loss value of $3300. An Auto Burglary report was taken.

• A Santa Rosa resident reported that while he was at the Cheesecake Factory restaurant in the Village Shopping Center, his wallet was stolen. The wallet contained approximately $1,000 cash, a driver’s license, and other miscellaneous items. A Grand Theft report was taken for documentation.

• Pursuant to a traffic stop in the area of Magnolia Avenue and Alexander Avenue, Marijuana was located in the vehicle. The driver, a San Rafael woman was warned for Possession of Marijuana in a vehicle and the Marijuana was seized for destruction.

• A resident of the 40 block of El Camino Drive reported the theft of a roof bicycle rack from her vehicle. The loss is approximately $500. Documentation of the theft was provided.

• A resident in the 200 block of Golden Hind Passage reported the theft of a Yakima roof rack off his vehicle during the night. The loss is approximately $350. Documentation of the theft was provided.

• A resident of the 160 block of Larkspur Plaza Drive advised that she wanted to report the theft of her vehicle. She loaned her vehicle to a friend last night and the vehicle has not been returned. A Vehicle Theft report was taken and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

• A resident in the 30 block of Madera Boulevard reported she keeps receiving calls stating she won millions of dollars. She advised the male caller with a thick accent says he is with "Winner International" and he needs her bank account number to deposit the money. She believes this is a fraud and wants the calls to stop. Advice was given and documentation for the attempted scam was provided.

• A resident of the 300 building of Old Quarry Road North reported his motorcycle was taken from the residence. An Auto Theft report was taken and the vehicle information was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.

• A resident of the 10 block of Diamond Head Passage reported he is the victim of identity theft taking place in Indiana. He was notified by his bank of fraudulent activity. An Identity Theft report was taken and will be forwarded to the appropriate Law Enforcement agency in Indiana.

• A resident in the 40 block of Lakeside Drive reported he received a fictitious e-mail this morning from someone impersonating his friend. The e-mail stated the friend had been robbed in Greece and needed money immediately. He has determined his friend is currently in Mexico, not Greece. He was assisted with filing a complaint on-line with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center regarding this fraudulent e-mail for money.

• Pursuant to a traffic stop in the 400 block of Via Hidalgo, Marijuana and alcohol were located in the vehicle. The occupants were warned for Possession of Marijuana and alcohol in a vehicle and the Marijuana and alcohol were seized for destruction.

During this one week time period, Twin Cities Police had 273 calls for service. This included two calls related to accidents with minor injuries, three hit and run accidents and six property damage only accidents. There was one auto burglary, one commercial burglary and one residential burglary. There were no calls related to Driving while Intoxicated.
