The filing deadline's approaching fast for Larkspur City Council candidates.

LARKSPUR ELECTIONS: The deadline for candidates to file to run for Larkspur City Council has been extended to Wednesday, Aug. 17. Candidates are advised to get their paperwork in early.

COUNCIL MEETINGS: The Corte Madera Town Council meets Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The Larkspur City Council meets Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Twin Cities Police Chief Todd Cusimano has written a report for both meetings regarding the plan to share services with the San Anselmo Police Department.

FARMERS MARKETS: Fresh berries steal the show at the local farmers' markets. Stop by the Corte Madera Town Center on Wednesday, noon-5 p.m., and Marin Country Mart on Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
