Incumbents Win Race In Corte Madera

Mayor Alexandra Cock and Bob Ravasio are re-elected to the Town Council with a win over former councilwoman Melissa Gill.

Stand by your man ... or woman. Supporters are sticking firmly by their candidates in a race for Corte Madera Town Council that was very close early on.

Incumbent Bob Ravasio (1,451) was the big winner in the three-way race with a slight edge over Mayor Alexandra Cock (1,263). Former councilwoman Melissa Gill (915) was trying to earn another term. All four precincts have reported in.

Gill was on the council prior to the elections of Ravasio and Cock. Ravasio's website claims "the previous council had made some financial decisions which placed the Town in jeopardy. Now, with a balanced budget and major steps taken to establish more open, inclusives procedures, Alexandra and Bob say they have positioned to move Corte Madera ahead on more secure financial footing."
