A stalled home improvement project allegedly drove Glen Allan March to threaten Larkspur Mayor Len Rifkind and two other city officials.
March was arrested by Twin Cities Police on August 12 and booked into Marin County Jail. He is now free on bail and has not yet been formally charged. Prosecutors are still reviewing the case.
"He loves the community," said March's attorney, Charles Dresow, according to the Marin IJ. "Mr. March denies ever following the mayor and does not wish to harm anyone. Mr. March looks forward to his ultimate exoneration of these allegations."
Twin Cities Police do not comment on ongoing investigations, according to Captain Nicholas Valeri. Rifkind said he has been asked by the police to not comment.
March, 45, allegedly threatened Rifkind, fire Chief Robert Sinnott and Hamid Shamsapour, the public works director and town engineer, because he was not allowed to proceed with a project on his Madrone Avenue home.
A court petition filed by the City states March followed Rifkind toward Highway 101 with the intention of harming him, but couldn't catch up to him.
Dresow is also the attorney for Max Wade in another high-profile case. Wade is suspected of stealing celebrity chef Guy Fieri's Lamborghini.
