Marin Energy Vote Among Lundstrom's Final Acts

Larkspur is expected to decide Wednesday whether or not to join the MEA during councilwoman Joan Lundstrom's final city council meeting.

The other members of the Larkspur City Council didn't want to make such a major decision without one of its most experienced leaders — Joan Lundstrom.

Wednesday is Lundstrom's final city council meeting before she officially retires this month. Lundstrom spent eight terms on the council, including seven as the city's mayor.

She married Dr. Lou Schwartz in Tiburon on Sunday.

Should Larkspur join the MEA, residents would automatically be enrolled in the program, but would have the option to switch back to PG&E.

Corte Madera is the only other jurisdiction in Marin that hasn't yet joined the MEA. The Corte Madera Town Council is expected to meet on the topic Nov. 1.
